British Coloured Sheep Breeders Association  www.bcsba.org.uk
The Association aims raise the profile of coloured sheep in a world where commercial flockmasters aim only to breed white sheep by bringing together both breeders and users and encouraging the production of high quality coloured fleece. Members include both breeders of naturally coloured sheep and users of their wool.

National Sheep Association     www.nationalsheep.org.uk

National Sheep Association aims to represent the views and interests of sheep producers throughout the UK. It is is funded by its membership of sheep farmers and its activities involve it in every aspect of the sheep industry. It produces a The Sheep Farmer journal.

Rare Breeds Survival Trust     www.rbst.org.uk

The only charity in Britain dedicated to their conservation of Britain's native livestock heritage. There are over 70 rare breeds of sheep, cattle, goats, pigs, horses, ponies and poultry supported by the Trust - some of which are rarer than the Giant Panda.

The Sheep Trust        www.thesheeptrust.org

Dedicated to protecting heritage sheep breeds, particularly those traditionally farmed. The Sheep Trusts priority list are not protected in this way by any other organisation in the UK. All of the native sheep breeds come within the protectorate of The Sheep Trust. Most of the breeds are not 'rare' - the breeds have been traditionally farmed, often over centuries - and play a crucial role in helping rural communities to survive.

An enthusiastic self sufficiency group based in East Hampshire with a wide range of interests form organic gardening to small scale beekeeping, poultry goats and other small livestock. East Hampshire Group of the Henry Doubleday Research Association. Meets monthly in Liss.

A friendly group based in East Sussex that runs all types of agriculture and horticulture training for smallholders and farmers, plus monthly lectures and a range of social activities and visits. Caters for both beginners and the more experienced.
