Small Shepherds Club

About us

The Small Shepherds Club provides training and support to people who have or would like to keep a small number of sheep. It has a membership of over 200 mainly in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire with a few from Kent and even further afield.

Between us we have just under 4000 sheep but the average flock size is fourteen. As well as crossbreeds, we keep over 40 different breeds including some of the rarest breeds on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust list.

We have an interesting and enjoyable annual programme of activities including farm visits, practical demonstrations, topical talks and social events. Our annual show gives club members a chance to try their hand at showing.

The club also have a list of Sheep advisors. These are experienced but amateur members of the Club who are willing to provide help and guidance on caring for your sheep.

If you keep or are planning to keep a few sheep, live in the area, do join us.
